2008 DCFIT INFORMATION

Welcome to DC FIT and congratulations for taking the first step to getting into better shape!

We are a marathon and half-marathon training program devoted to getting you in the best shape of your life in a non-intimidating and fun environment. When you join, you receive day-by-day training schedules, weekly gatherings with your group for your long run or walk, access to trained coaches, informational seminars, and a DCFit technical t-shirt.

Ask anyone who has gone the distance… There’s nothing like finishing a marathon!  With DCFIT, you will get in better shape and become a stronger runner!  And you can do it all in 26 weeks.  Whether you are a couch potato, walker, casual jogger, or marathon veteran, this marathon training program is the most enjoyable, most inspiring and most efficient way to get in the best shape of your life.

If a marathon sounds like too big a goal. Come join us anyway. Some members join just to get in great shape and meet other people with similar Interests.

Regardless of your fitness level, I'm committed to making DCFIT an enjoyable, rewarding and fun program for everyone!

What to expect in 2008:

Location - Just 4 miles from the Pentagon!  Benjamin Bannerker Park in Arlington, VA (East Falls Church Metro)

Training Program - Training programs for full and half marathon. Program is based on experience level (Beginner and Intermediate/ Advanced)

Coaching:  Access to Knowledgeable and supportive coaches

2 Minute Tip and Post-Run Seminars:  2 minute pre-run training tips and post-run full seminars on hydration, diet, injury prevention, running form, etc.

Health Team - Team of specialists (Nutritionist, Chiropractor, and Physical Therapist) to enhance your training experience!

Charity Option:  We have re-established our Charity Partnership with Organization for Autism Research (OAR). 

Post Run Coffees, Happy-hours and Picnic:  Fun,Fun,Fun!  Organizedpost run coffees, happy-hours and picnics to build team spirit and develop life-long friendships

Tech Running Shirts:  Everyone receives a colorful team running shirt!
